1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how DataBrain collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application (the “App”). The App is an AI assistant that can generate images, perform AI-powered OCR (text extraction from images), and provide educational AI features and other AI-based tools.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Data We Collect

  • Prompts and inputs (text you type, commands, and context you provide).
  • Media you upload (images you submit for OCR or AI features).

If the App offers subscriptions or in-app purchases, payments are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card information.

  • Purchase metadata: subscription status, purchase tokens, and transaction identifiers.

3. How We Use Data

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Provide and operate the App (e.g., generate AI responses, images, and OCR results).
  • Improve features and reliability (debugging, analytics, performance monitoring).
  • Safety and abuse prevention (fraud prevention, spam detection, policy enforcement).

4. AI Features (Images, OCR, Education)

The App uses AI models to process your inputs. This may include text prompts, images you provide, and other content needed to produce outputs (e.g., image generation results, OCR text extraction, or educational explanations).

Image Generation

We process your prompt (and optional reference images) to generate images. Generated content may be stored temporarily to deliver results and to prevent abuse.

AI OCR

If you upload an image for OCR, we process the image to extract text. You should avoid uploading images containing highly sensitive information unless necessary.

Educational AI

Educational features generate explanations and guidance. AI outputs may be incorrect; you should verify important information.

No Professional Advice

The App does not provide professional medical, legal, or financial advice. Use at your own discretion.

5. Sharing & Third Parties

We may share information only as described below:

  • Service providers that help us run the App (e.g., hosting, analytics, crash reporting, AI processing providers), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with the law, enforce our terms/policies, or protect users from harm.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Note on AI Providers
Depending on your configuration and region, your prompts and uploaded images may be processed by third-party AI providers to generate results. These providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy terms.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • AI inputs/outputs may be stored temporarily for functionality, quality assurance, and abuse prevention.
  • Logs and diagnostics are typically retained for a limited period.

You may request deletion as described in Section 9.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.

9. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information.

  • Access / correction: request a copy or correction of your data.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your account and/or stored data (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Opt-out: you may disable certain analytics (if available in settings) or restrict permissions on your device.

10. Device Permissions

The App may request access to certain device features to enable functionality. You can deny these permissions, but some features may not work.
